Measure time and money saved with Mintlify

The Savings view of the analytics page estimates how much work Mintlify saves your team. It shows hours saved by the agent and automations, and support costs avoided when the assistant answers users’ questions. Use the Savings view to:

• Report on return on investment: Share estimated hours and dollars saved with stakeholders.
• Compare automation value: See which types of automated work contribute the most time savings.

Time saved

The Time saved (hours) chart breaks down estimated hours saved into four categories.

• Slack agent: Pull requests the agent opens from Slack.
• Self-updating automations: Pull requests from self-updating content automations, such as Update from code changes and Draft changelog.
• Maintenance automations: Pull requests from maintenance automations, such as Translate content and Fix broken links.
• Custom automations: Pull requests from custom automations.

Mintlify counts only merged pull requests that were first opened during the selected time range. Each pull request adds hours based on the number of changed lines. When the line count for a pull request is unavailable, Mintlify uses a default estimate.

Money saved

The Money saved card shows two metrics.

• Money saved: Estimated support cost avoided, calculated as $12 for each question the assistant answers based on the average cost of support tickets across industries.
• Questions answered by assistant: A count of conversations with the assistant in the selected time range that the assistant answered without routing the user to sales or support.
