We’re thrilled to announce our $18M Series A round, led by Andreessen Horowitz and joined by existing investors including Bain Capital Ventures, Y Combinator, and others.

This brings our total amount raised to $21M and will accelerate our mission to empower developers.

The Founding Story

Our journey began long before we started this company.

For me, it began at the age of eleven when I taught myself to code to create a mobile app for my middle school. This love of solving problems for those around me continued into college, where Hahnbee and I developed a number of products for our classmates.

Our products ranged from a tool to help students plan their graduation requirements to an app facilitating new friendships during the pandemic.

Throughout our experiences, one principle remained constant: build for those that we care deeply about.

When we founded Mintlify, we did so with that driving principle. Recognizing that our background as engineers had shaped us profoundly, we were inspired to create a company dedicated to empowering fellow developers in their own journeys.

Looking back, we're proud of what we've accomplished by staying true to these values.

The modern developer content platform

Since our product launch less than two years ago, we've experienced remarkable growth. Today, we power the documentation for thousands of the fastest growing startup and industry leaders like Anthropic, Perplexity, Cursor, Pinecone, and Zapier.

What’s more meaningful is that over 20% of the most recent Y Combinator batch relies on Mintlify to power their developer content strategy.

Our reach extends globally. Content built on Mintlify reaches more than 20 million developers a year. However, what truly drives us is not just the numbers, but the impact we have on enabling these developers to achieve more.

The platform offers a wide range of mission-critical components for developer-facing teams including:

  • Guides
  • API References
  • SDK Libraries
  • Knowledge Bases
  • Content Discovery
  • Viewership Analytics
  • User Feedback

And a lot more… in a workflow that both developers and non-developers are familiar with.

You can learn more about Mintlify by getting a demo of the product or by trying it yourself.

The future of developer content

We are in the midst of a reformation in how developers fundamentally interact with content because of AI. You're probably seeing this already. Every documentation now needs to have a chatbot to answer questions directly. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

You can expect to see a lot of new AI features, changing how content is maintained and used. Mintlify customers and end-users will be able to accomplish much more with less.

This is just the beginning.

P.S. We’re growing fast and hiring for our San Francisco office! If you’re interested in joining the team, take a look at our careers page or email us directly at careers@mintlify.com.
